Round Type: ForseMark Olfact-X™ – 9mm 95 Grain Tactical Olfactory Disruption Round
Purpose: Support clear, compliant, and operationally accurate language when documenting or articulating Olfact-X™ deployment decisions

 

Why Phrasing Matters
Olfact-X™ is a non-lethal sensory round designed for backdrop-sensitive disruption. Officers must use precise, neutral language to describe its deployment—especially in reports, court testimony, and internal reviews. Avoid emotional, vague, or speculative phrasing that could misrepresent intent or escalate scrutiny.

 

Recommended Phrasing Examples
These examples reflect tactical clarity, legal restraint, and SOP alignment:

Verbal Justification (Pre-Engagement)

“Olfact-X™ was selected to trigger sensory disruption in a confined space without physical contact.”
“Deployment was intended to redirect suspect behavior through non-lethal olfactory saturation.”
“Round choice reflects backdrop sensitivity and non-forceful compliance strategy.”

 

Report Language (Post-Engagement)

“Olfact-X™ was deployed to impair suspect focus and support containment in a barricaded environment.”
“Round selection was based on non-lethal control needs and backdrop evaluation.”
“Deployment occurred in accordance with agency SOPs for sensory-based compliance tools.”

Phrasing to Avoid
